Every band in the iFurn.pro order's band list has a color button-swatch. It is a visual marker: it tags the band in the interface so the parts table reads at a glance. Here is how it works and what it affects.
Where it is
Open the order's band list (the project's materials and bands panel). Next to each band there is a small colored square. Until a custom color is assigned, the square is filled with the tape thickness indicator color:
- blue — thin tape up to and including 0.6 mm;
- green — medium, over 0.6 up to 1.6 mm;
- red — thick, over 1.6 mm.
How to assign your own color
Clicking the square opens a palette — a full picker with a shade field, a spectrum slider and exact value input. The chosen color immediately becomes this band's marker color and is saved with the project.
What the marker affects
The marker color highlights this band's fields in the quick band mode: the cell of a part side carrying the marked band is painted with the chosen color instead of the standard thickness indicator. In an order with five or six bands this turns the table into a «map»: one glance — and you see which tape is where.
A typical trick
The first trick is contrasting markers for bands that are easy to mix up: two bands with a similar decor but different thickness get, say, bright yellow and bright blue, and a mistake in the edging column stands out immediately. The second trick is colors close to the bands' real decors: a white marker for the white band, brown for the “oak” one, black for the black one; then the edging column reads like the face of the future product.
What the marker is not
- It is not the glue seam color — the seam is determined by the «Glue type» on the material and the tape's own color (see the section's articles).
- It is not painting — an edge painting service does not exist in the system.
- The marker does not change the tape physically: the material, decor and price stay as in the company catalog.
Bottom line
The band color marker is a readability tool: a palette in the order's band list, a custom color per tape, automatic field highlighting in the quick mode. A second of setup — and a large parts list stops demanding squinting at numbers and names.
